As a student of the French Civil Aviation School, I will try to make you discover the 4lenac , an association which aims at helping students of the ENAC participate in a humanitarian rally raid from France to Morocco.
This race called 4L TROPHY gathers more than 500 students from various engineering or business schools in France. All have to drive an old legendary car : the Renault4L. The first objective of this race is not the race in itself. Indeed, each team has to bring some school supplies (50kg) to disadvantaged children of Morocco.
At the ENAC we are not ready yet to participate, (still a lot of problems with our car ,and money).That is also the reason why I created this blog in order to find some advice to improve the way I lead the association.

If we leave next february, we’ll have to drive to Ouarzazate, and then come back. It represents about 6000km, with a big part of it in the desert.

I found a video of the 2006 edition. This year 58 tons of school supplies were brought to Morocco, and 892 students participated in the rally.

This is the car we will use for the rally. It was the car of the ienac05 two years ago. The strange bird you can see next to it is the mascot of the ENAC, very popular in our school.
When they went to Morocco the 4l was in a good state. Now it has gotten old and we have to fix some parts of the car.

Here is the logo of the association. We’ll try to put it on the car and in our future website. It also appears on the documents we send to various companies in order to get sponsors. Indeed, a big part of the money we need is given by companies. We made agreements and we have to make publicity for thoses companies. In most of the cases we have to put advertisements on the car.

Each part of the car can accomodate publicity inserts. The price of it is ranging between 250€ and 900€ .

Each team is composed by two students: the driver and the navigator. To participate in the rally, they need about 5500€. This figure can be divided into three parts.
3000€ for the registration and for the school supplies we bring
1000€ to get and prepare the car
1500 € for the trip (oil,food,boat)
